I grew up on a farm Moat Farm, White Ladies Aston, Spetchley, Worcestershire; it was an arable, sheep and cattle farm.
My Nan and Grandad (by the way, he was called Harry Potter) were tenants on the farm.
My mum, Clarice, and dad, Tyrrell took my sister and I to the farm whenever we had a chance – weekends, holidays, any spare time we had, we would spend on the farm.
Here is where my journey for the love of food began: my grandad would grow all sorts of fruit and vegetables (marrows, strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, parsnips, carrots, potatoes, rhubarb, celery, runner, broad beans, and loads more).
My Grandad also milked the cows twice a day at 04:30am and 16:30pm – that milk was so good to drink, and use in milk puddings, the milk is so good and flavoursome its not pasteurised
My Nan Ada was a cook in service, which means she looked after a large house cooking the food.
And on the farm, she did the same – cakes, pickles, chutneys, pies, roasts etc, also some game (pheasant, partridge, rabbit, and pigeon), this was my baptism of fire into the catering industry.
It was a wonderful time of my life, and still have fond memories of the farm.
I can prepare for you a selection of delicious products that can help you connect with your loved ones in the most flavourful ways possible.
