How it all began

It all begin when i grew up on a farm Moat Farm, White Ladies Aston, Spetchley, Worcestershire; it was an arable, sheep and cattle farm. My nan and grandad ran the farm they were tenants ,my grandad grew everything from celery, leeks to rhubarbs and my nan cooked it this is where i got my inspiration from. my grandads name was Harry Potter

🥙

here my journey for the love of food began my grandad would grow all sorts of fruit and vegetables ,

My Nan and Grandad  were tenants on the farm.

My mum Clarice and dad Tyrrell took my sister and I to the farm whenever we had a chance – weekends, holidays, any spare time we had, we would spend on the farm

marrows, raspberries, tomatoes, parsnips, carrots, potatoes, rhubarb, celery, broad beans, runner

My Grandad also milked the cows twice a day at 04:30am and 16:30pm – that milk was so good to drink, and use in milk puddings, the milk is so good and  flavoursome its not pasteurised

Also he made his own scrumpy cider and wine

My Nan Ada was a cook in service, which means she looked after a large house cooking the food.

And on the farm, she did the same – cakes, pickles, chutneys, pies, roasts etc, also some game (pheasant, partridge, rabbit, and pigeon), this was my baptism of fire into the catering industry.

It was a wonderful time of my life, and still have fond memories of the farm and never forgot my roots

Now, every time I cook and create dishes , it’s like I go back in time, back to the farm, back to being a child – this is why I want to share this incredible experience with as many people as possible – food is an experience that unites us and helps us connectand is a talking point

every time I cook back to being a child food an experience that unites us and helps us connect
